Key Responsibilities

Conduct HIV testing in a confidential and safe environment, ensuring that clients feel comfortable and supported.
Provide pre-and post-test counseling to clients, explaining the testing process and discussing potential outcomes.
Educate clients on HIV prevention methods, treatment options, and resources available within the community.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of testing sessions and client interactions, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers to refer clients to additional services as needed.
Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about HIV testing and prevention.
Stay informed on the latest guidelines and best practices regarding HIV testing and counseling.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or a related field.
Strong counseling skills with a focus on empathy and support.
Prior experience in healthcare or public health preferred but not required.
Familiarity with HIV prevention and treatment methods.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Basic knowledge of relevant software tools for record-keeping.
Preferred 1-2 years of experience in counseling or community health.
