The Design Services Designer contracted position calls for availability between 20-35 hours a week (hours are not guaranteed and are dependent on volume and may be lower than 20/week). The designer is responsible for creating and designing albums for customers using the Artifact Uprising editor, a third-party proofing system, and Adobe tools when needed. This is a seasonal, contract position.

As a Design Services Album Designer, you’ll be a vital part of our Design Services Team – a liaison between the Artifact Uprising team and our amazing community. You’ll provide a high-touch and personalized design service for each customer, easing customer pain points by doing so. You will handle customer communication, assisting with project vision, product information, and owning the design of their project, with multiple revision rounds for each customer.

This position requires a flexible schedule. Hours are dependent on volume and are not guaranteed. This position will start in October 2025, and may end as early as January 2026, depending on volume.

Job Responsibilities

Design albums for Design Service customers in the Artifact Uprising editor
Curate customer images
Communicate with Account Manager, Program Manager, and customers in a timely manner
Communicate any bugs or improvements needed in proper Slack channels
Phone calls with Design Service customers upon request
Daily direct email correspondence with Design Service customers
Effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects and delivery drafts on time

Qualifications

Excellent communication, decision-making, leadership, and organizational skills
A strong eye for composition such as framing and balancing the design
Strong ability to problem-solve in fast paced environment
Excellent time-management and organization
Proficiency in Asana, Slack, and Adobe tools is a plus
Great interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with others directly, efficiently, and empathetically both verbally and written
Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to do so in past work
Ability to maintain a positive attitude
