We are seeking an Entry-Level Data Modeler to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a foundational understanding of data mapping, integration, and modeling. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of ANSI SQL, data analysis, and familiarity with tools such as IBM InfoSphere Data Architect and ERWin. This hybrid role requires a detail-oriented individual eager to learn and contribute to designing and implementing logical and physical data models that support evolving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Modeling & Architecture

Assist in designing and maintaining logical and physical data models.
Support the team in ensuring models are scalable, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
Utilize IBM InfoSphere Data Architect and ERWin for modeling tasks under supervision.

Data Mapping & Integration

Help implement data mapping strategies to streamline data flow and enhance system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align models with business and technical specifications.

Data Analysis & SQL Expertise

Utilize ANSI SQL for basic data analysis and validation.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Collaboration & Support

Provide support to project teams and stakeholders.
Work closely with IT and business teams to assist in resolving data-related issues.

Documentation & Optimization

Document data modeling processes and methodologies for knowledge sharing.
Assist in monitoring and optimizing data models to improve performance and reduce redundancy.

Continuous Improvement

Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data modeling and integration.
Contribute to the company’s data strategy through insights and recommendations.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $60K - $70K depending on experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
