About the Role:

The Manager, Technical and Revenue Accounting plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This critical role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective revenue recognition processes. This position requires a strong understanding of ASC 606, technical accounting standards, and financial reporting principles, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights. The Manager, Technical and Revenue Accounting works closely with cross-functional teams, including the finance department, auditors, and senior management, to provide guidance on accounting matters and support the preparation of financial statements.

What You Will Do:

Work with sales operations / legal to review draft contracts and confirm or propose edits required to meet revenue guidance as appropriate.
Perform contract review, prepare allocations, and apply critical thinking to ensure revenue recognized in compliance with ASC 606.
Prepare technical accounting memos as required (ASC 842, Business combinations and other complex accounting areas).
Help with the preparation of financial statements.
Own monthly close and reporting processes, including preparation of revenue working, journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation of revenue accounts and deferred revenue accounts.
Collaborate with the Professional Services organization in streamlining processes and implementing/ managing time tracking and effort estimates.
Review arrangements with multiple performance obligations and assess allocation.
Perform SSP analysis and prepare quarterly RSP allocation for each reporting period.
Analyze and assess appropriate accounting treatment and book the accruals as needed.
Perform analysis on contract assets, contract liability, unbilled AR, including preparation of roll forward schedules and calculation of the short-term/long-term classifications.
Assist with billing and collection, and invoicing activities.
Assist with the quarterly and annual audits, including the compilation and preparation of supporting schedules, work papers, and financial reports related to areas of responsibility.
Assist in SOX testing to ensure SOX compliance; work with internal and external audit requests related to areas of responsibility.
Contribute to process and system improvements in the revenue cycle, including ERP system enhancement and departmental projects.
Assist the Accounting team with any ad hoc requests or responsibilities, including the monthly close process.

About You:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, or finance
Master’s degree in accounting, preferred
7 + years of revenue experience, ASC 606 experience required.
Experience with Big 4 or large national accounting firm preferred.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, fast-growing company where adaptability is imperative.
Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal abilities.
Ability to build relationships across all business functions.
Expert level Excel skills.
Audit experience, CPA is a plus Strong Excel knowledge.
Excellent problem-solving and research skills on complex accounting issues

About you, two! :

Manage daily Accounts Receivable(AR) operations, including invoicing, follow-up collections, review AR on a daily basis for past due ones, receipt posting and application, credit memo application, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
Manage monthly AR close process, including reconciliation of AR sub-ledger to GL.
Manage AR aging by customer and follow up with customers regarding payments and payment status.
Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts to resolve billing/invoice inquiries, discrepancies, problems, etc.
Perform new customer setup, including credit checks, forms, and online accounts, as necessary.
Maintain the AR inbox daily, making sure all queries are addressed and complete daily cash applications.
