We are looking for a highly skilled IT-Security Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will manage and improve our IT Security environment. Additionally, this role involves the management of various security platforms, such as Endpoint Protection, Network Security, E-Mail Security, Log Management and day-to-day activities for this environment. This position requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities. Since you’ll be technically responsible for the IT Security landscape, we’re looking for a self-steering and innovative candidate that can improve his area, learn on the job and take ownership.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

The role combines daily operations and monitoring of the IT Security environment with constant improvement and development of the tools we use. There are several areas:

Endpoint Protection - Maintain and improve our Endpoint Protection system, including the upgrade and rule configuration.

Network Security - Maintain our Network Protection System including the improvement and adoption of model sets and behaviour analysis.

Log Management – Ensure the secure storage of logs and events in our central SIEM solution including the creation and managing of dashboards and alerts.

Vulnerability Management – Support other teams with the right set of reports to detect vulnerabilities and possible solution to reduce the possible impact of known vulnerabilities.

OS Hardening – Define Rule Sets to harden the different Operating Systems and work with different teams to support the implementation of the same.

Cloud Protection – Define Rule Sets and work with different teams to increase the security of our cloud environment.

Do you have experience in following?
- Proven experience in managing Security Tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Log Management and Analysing of Logs, Linux OS, Security Guidelines.
Proficiency in defining and understanding Security Rulesets and security related behaviour of Systems/Users.
