Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant to join our operational team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing all daily accounting and administrative tasks for our customers, ensuring their books are always accurate and current. You’ll work closely with our local team in the Netherlands to support clients directly and help answer their finance-related questions in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings for clients.
Maintain correct and complete bookkeeping for a portfolio of customers.
Collaborate closely with the Dutch team to resolve client queries and provide day-to-day support.
Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up on outstanding financial items or client deliverables.
Assist in preparing VAT returns, annual accounts, and supporting documentation.
Continuously improve and streamline administrative processes to ensure speed and accuracy.

Your Profile

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices.
Familiarity with Dutch accounting standards and VAT regulations is a strong plus.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and structured in your work.
Comfortable using accounting software and tools; experience with Exact Online or similar is an advantage.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international team.
Fluent in English; Dutch is a big plus.
