About the Role:
Two Sigma Construction Group is hiring a full-time Remote Accountant to support both internal accounting operations and client engagements. Our client portfolio includes unionized trade contractors and other construction-adjacent businesses. This is a long-term, fully remote position with opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accrual-basis accounting in compliance with U.S. GAAP
Post journal entries including labor accruals, retainage, and WIP adjustments
Reconcile GL accounts monthly, including AR, AP, bank, credit cards, loan accounts, etc.
Help maintain cost-to-complete and project profitability reports
Track union fringe obligations and subcontractor compliance (for contractor clients)
Coordinate with internal teams and client-side project managers
Support monthly and year-end close processes across multiple entities

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years accounting experience, preferably in construction or other job-costing environments
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop (Contractor Edition) or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, imports)
Fluent in English preferred; Urdu or Spanish speakers also acceptable
Excellent attention to detail and ability to self-manage in a remote setting
Stable internet with a quiet home office
Must overlap with U.S. Central Time Zone for check-ins (minimum 3 hours)

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with U.S. union accounting (fringes, CBAs, multi-employer plans)
Experience with job costing, WIP schedules, and retainage
CPA, ACCA, or other recognized accounting certification

Compensation:
Negotiable/DOE. Full-time contractor role with flexible hours and long-term stability. Candidates may be assigned to internal work or external clients, depending on skillset and workload.
